Addikt has dropped back down to a winning mark and is of serious interest at 8/1 to bounce back to form and take advantage in the 3.25 at Lingfield.
Michael Scudamore’s charge has been badly out of form since landing back to back victories at Kempton 12 months ago, but has dropped significantly in the weights as a result.
The seven-year-old is now running off just 60 – the same rating as when he landed a massive punt and the first of those wins.
That makes him look extremely well weighted, especially has he had no difficulty following up off a mark of 65 before being whacked up to 70.
It’s also interesting that connections are switching him back to the polytrack after two runs at Southwell where he quite clearly hated the fibresand, and he has also been given a break to freshen up.
He has run some of his best races when coming back from a lay-off and with David Kenny – who partnered him to his two wins last year – in the saddle and taking off another 5lb it would be no surprise to see his recent runs well behind and get back in the winners’ enclosure.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Addikt (8/1 Betfred – BOG)
