Al Reeh the ace in the pack at Chelmsford

Al Reeh looks decent each-way value at 12/1 in the 9.00 at Chelmsford this evening.

Marco Botti’s colt progressed in four runs last season, opening his account in good styule at Kempton on the last of those.

Prior to that he had run well when a 1 3/4 length fourth to the now 92-rated Battered at Yarmouth in a race where the now 100-rated Ekhtiyaar came second.

That is strong form and Al Reeh comes into the contest on the back of a promising return to action when fourth of 12 to Keyser Soze at Kempton where he weakened late on and shaped as if needing the outing.

With tha run under his belt he should now be spot on to do himself justice in the hands of Luke Mprris, who is 1-2 on him, and a mark of 80 looks exploitable judged on his run behind Battered.

Al Reeh is also lightly raced after just five starts and remains open to further progress and hails from a yard which has a 21% strike rate in the last 14 days and does well with its runners at the venue.
