Al’s Memory is back down to his last winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 11/1 in the 4.00 at Wolverhampton today.
David Evans’ gelding last scored over course and distance back in November where he raced up with the pace before staying on strongly to beat Living The Life by a neck off 80.
He then backed that up with a solid third to Rivellino over 6f at this venue off 83, and was far from disgraced next time up when finishinbg fifth of 8 to Trinityelitedotcom over 6f here.
Nothing then went right for him on his latest start over CD when he he lost all chnace when slowly away after rearing in the stalls before finishing a well beaten last of 7 to Apostle, but a line can safely be put through that effort as he needs to race up with the pace.
The handicapper has since dropped him a further 1lb, and he now gets into this 7f class 4 contest on the same mark as when last successful.
There ie also every chance that he could dominate in this line-up, and if he does get loose on the front end then he could be extremely hard to peg back in the hands of in-form Martin Harley over a trip which has seen him notch five of his 8 career successes.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Al’s Memory (11/1 bet365, Stan James – BOG)
