Amber Crystal has become dangerously well-treated and looks worth an each-way wager at 16/1 in the 2.15 at Ayr today now eased in grade.
The filly won twice when trained by John Gallagher landing a class 5 contest on soft ground at Warwick in 2014 off a mark of 73 and a class 6 seller at Leicester 13 konths ago by 3 1/4 lengths off 65.
Now in the care of Linda Perratt, the four-year-old is now able to race off a career-low of just 52.
Although Amber Cystal has failed to trouble the judge in four starts this season for her new handler, they have all been in class 5 contests and she didn’t shape too baldy last time out when showing up well for a long way before fading to finish fifth to Inexes at Hamilton.
The winner has won again since, and Amber Cystal now drops down into class 6 company.
She has won once and been placed on three occasions from five runs in the grade, and with underfoot conditions fine looks weighted to run a huge race on the pick of her form.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Amber Crystal (16/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
