Amuse Me is back down to his last winning hurdles’ mark and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 12.40 at Taunton today after shaping well last time out.

Jonjo O’Neill’s gelding is an eight time winner over hurdles and fences, with his last success coming over the larger obstacles at Sedgefield in September off a mark of 107.

His previous success to that had come over hurdles at Wetherby back in 2012 where he easily beat Leath Acra Mor by 2 3/4 lengths off 104.

He now gets into this conitional jockeys’ handicap hurdle off the same mark having looked as if coming back to form when a staying on third of 11 to Wily Fox at Market Rasen last time out over 2m 1f.

That run suggested that it would not be long before he was back in the winners’ enclosure, and the step up in trip to 2m 4f today looks a major plus.

The seven-year-old has run four times over it, winning three times and being placed on the other occasion, and everything now looks in place for a huge run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Amuse Me (8/1 bet365, Betfred, BetVictor, Stan James – BOG)
