Andok looks on a potenially handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 14/1 in the London Gold Cup at Newbury today (2.55)

Richard Fahey’s colt won on debut as a juvenile when running on strongly to beat the now 101-rated Kings Gift by 2 1/2 lengths.

Andok went on to follow-up with a gutsy head success over Appointed at Doncaster where he had Mutawatheb, who is now rated 101, a further 1 lengtb behind in third.

He then little in defeat when a 1 1/2 length runner-uo to Masham Star, who is also now rated 101, at the same venue.

Judged on those performances a mark of 87 looks exploitable and Andok comes into the race on the back of a solid return to action when a staying on fifth over 1m at Newmarket.

That should have blown away the cobwebs and put him spot on for this and Andok may well have more to offer now stepped up in trip.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Andok (14/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
