Any Second Now looks nicely treated on the pick of his form and worth a wager at 7/1 in the 4.10 at Leopardstown today
This Ted Walsh trained seven-year-old is yet to get his head in front in eight starts over fences but has posted some solid efforts in defeat.
They include when beaten 6 lengths into second by the now 161-rated Monalee at Punchestown and a 4 1/2 length third to Invitation Only, who is now rated 152, in a seven runner affair at Navan.
Any second Now also ran well two starts back when a neck runner-up to Mortal at Fairyhouse and backed that up with a solid 9 3/4 length fifth of 27 to Auvergnat over 3m at this venue at Christmas.
The drop back to 2m 5f should play to his strengths and off a rating of 142 there are undoubtedly races of this nature to be won with Any Second Now judged on the pick of his form.
So with Mark Walsh, who has won once and been placed four times on him from 10 starts and rode a double here yesterday, once again in the saddle everything looks in place for a big run.
