Auspicion is back down to his last winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 13/2 in the 2.1o at Pontefract today.
Tom Tate’s charge notched his last success over course and distance 11 months ago when racing prominently and holding on gamely to score by 1 1/4 lengths off a mark of 73 in a class 5 contest.
He went on to finish a fine 3/4 length third of 18 in a class 4 at York off 76 and a decent fourth in a similar grade affair over CD off 78.
Auspicion is now able to race off 73 and comes into the contest on the back of a solid fourth on the Tapeta at Newcastle.
He also now drops back down into class 5 company in which he has a 50% strike rate (2 win from 4 starts) and everything points to a huge run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Auspicion (13/2 BetVictor, Paddy Power – BOG)
