Swift Bounty will be well suited by the return to a galloping track in the 4.10 at Doncaster today and looks decent value at 7/1 to notch his first career success.
Alan Jarvis’ colt was totally unsuited by the undulations of Goodwood last time out when finishing fifth of 8 to King Of Danes but had previously really caught the eye on his reappearance behind the same rival at Ascot.
Held-up off the pace that day, he didn’t get the clearest of runs when trying to mount a challenge a furlong from home but then stayed on well inside the last to finish a 3 length fourth of 12 to Mark Johnston’s charge.
It was a very promising effort, and he now gets into this off 1lb lower.
The son of Bahamian bounty also finished four places and 1 1/4 lengths in front of Intrigo who he now meets on 2lb better terms.
That suggests that he should be able to confirm the placings with that rival if forgiven his run last time out, yet he can be backed at nearly three times the odds of Richard Hannon’s colt.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Swift Bounty (7/1 BetVictor, Hills, Stan James – BOG)
