Matchroom’s Odyssey Arena bill on September 2nd just got even hotter as Paul McCloskey will face Manuel Perez, live on Sky Sports.
McCloskey is aiming to get back on track after his defeat to DeMarcus Corley in May and a victory over the WBA ranked Perez would boost the title hopes of the former World title challenger.
Perez, 28, successfully defended his NABA light welterweight title against Jose Miguel Cotto last month and has twice tangled with WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios.
This is a huge card which is topped by Barry McGuigan proteget Carl Frampton facing Steve Molitor for Frampton’s Commonwealth and IBF Inter Continental titles plus Martin Lindsay up against Lee Selby for the Welshman British and Commonwealth titles.
