Big fight betting preview: Kieran Farrell v Anthony Crolla

Dave Coldwell has been coming up with some decent looking cards recently and its been frustrating as a boxing fan that he has not had the backing of any of the major TV companies.

So far fight fans have missed a few decent scraps, but as luck would have it Mr Coldwell has brought out an app for the Iphone/Ipad and the fight will be streamed on his website tonight for £1.49  – which for a fight of this quality is an absolute steal.

Now to the business of winning money on the “Battle of Manchester”.

Kieran “Vicious” Farrell attempts to shake off the boxing stabilisers and steps up in class against Anthony “Million Dollar” Crolla.

Farrell has etched a 14-0 so far in is short career and was impressive in stopping Joe Elfidh.

He showed in that fight that he will certainly be adding to his 3 KOs as he lived up to his vicious nickname. He loves to whip in the body shots and isn’t afraid to stand in front and fire away.

That’s the mistake I feel that Crolla makes as too often he likes to exchange rather than use his skills. That happened in the Matthews fight where he could have boxed a bit more and made life a lot easier for himself.

I expect him to take the same path in this, and he will certainly find life tougher against Farrell than he did in his his titanic tussle with Matthews.

I fancy Farrell to wrap this up inside of 7 rounds, and he is in confident mood judged by his comments earlier in the week when he  tweeted: “I’m Kieran Farrell from Darnhill council estate. I ain’t got a pot to piss in but I can fight. On Friday i’ll explode onto the scene.”

I agree with him.
