In a potential British super-bantamweight classic the Hatton golden boy Scott Quigg finally dips his toe into the world stage when he squares off against former WBC title challenger Rendall “Two Tone” Munroe tonight (9pm Live on Sky Sports2).

Quigg 24-0 was winning the fans over with a series of impressive performances at British Level and it makes sense to see the UK’s top two fighters square off for the interim WBA title.

Former European champion and world champion Munroe has been a dependable at a this level, beating Victor Terrisaas who subsequently went on to world honours and fighters of a similar stature and in Quigg faces an opponent who was been put on his backside last time out by Jamie Arthur.

Now is the time that we see if Quigg can really cut it and sadly I am going to put my money where my mouth is and bet that he isn’t world class.

I strongly believe that former binman Munroe will be too good for him, and at the odds on offer he looks terrific value and worthy of a decent punt to trash Quigg.

Daily Sport recommended bets:

7pts win Munroe to beat Quigg (Draw No Bet) –  13/8 Bet365

2pts Munroe to stop Quigg – 7/1 bet365

0.50pts Munroe to win rounds 6-9 – 16/1 bet365

0.50pts  Munroe to win rounds 10-12 – 20/1 bet365
