Biotic a solid bets at 4s

Trainer Rod Millman is enjoying a terrific season, and Biotic is strongly fancied at 4/1 to provide him with another winner in the 6.20 at Kempton this evening.

The son of Aqlaam hinted that he had ability in three maiden runs last season without troubling the judge, and did us a favour when landing a gamble in good style on his handicap debut over course and distance back in March.

After being advised at 172, Biotic was punted off the boards and sent off the 5/4 favourite and never gave his supporters any anxious moments.

The three-year-old made all and ran on strongly to easily beat Jalebi by 2 lengths off a mark of 55, and then posted a solid effort under a 6lb penalty when runner-up to Android – again over course and distance.

Biotic was them given a break and off the track for 67 days befiore finishing a highly encouraging third of 14 to Seven Lucky Seven over 7f at Salisbury off a mark 62.

He shaped as if needing the run that day, tracking the leaders and having every chance a furlong from home before being unable to find any extra.

Biotic looks sure to come on for the run, and now gets into today’s contest off 1lb lower.

The drop back to 6f also looks sure to suit, as does the return to this venue where he has posted his best efforts to date.

His current mark of 61 certainly looks exploitable judged on his two runs at the track, and with the stable going well this looks a nice opportunity for Biotic to get back to winning ways.

Daily Sport recommended; 3pts win Biotic (4/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
