BKB 45 really did have it all.
It was another great night for the fans – and we ended up with two knockout of the night awards.
One went to Dan Lerwell after his win over Jack Marshman and the other went to Rob Boardman.
Rob was back with us after a few years away and he put away Volodymyr Skurtu in devastating style inside a round.
We are glad to have Rob back with us. There look to be some exciting nights ahead.
Watching the action in Bristol on Saturday night was Paul Smith, a former top pro gloved boxer and one of the four boxing brothers from Liverpool.
Paul knows combat sport inside out having spent his life in boxing – and he’s a huge fan of BKB.
Expect to see him at BKB 47 in Leeds as well where we are staging two huge fights.
Dan Podmore defending his bridgerweight championship against Marko Martinjak on October 18 is a fight every fan wants to see and Paulie Malignaggi-Tyler Goodjohn is also heading to Leeds.
Before that, there’s BKB 46 in New York on September 27 where the featherweight division is under the spotlight.
Harold McQueen defends his world championship against No 1 contender Yampier Ramirez and the show also features an eliminator for the belt, between Ash Williams and Jorge Bargallo.
Ash came to us in the doldrums. He was a top class amateur gloved boxer, but wasn’t getting any breaks in the pros.
He came to us and he’s taken his chance.
Ash has had a pair of jaw-dropping knockouts and now he’s heading to the States.
He’s been saying he wanted a big fight in the States since he joined us and we’ve delivered for him.
BKB is where dreams come true!
Until next week
