Bobby Benton is back down to a handy mark and looks worth an each-way wager at 14/1 in the 1.50 at Lingfield today.
The seven-year-old was a dual winner when trained by Jim Best, with his last success coming at Brighton im March 2016 off a mark of 65.
His previous victory had come over course and distance off the same rating.
Having started life off on a mark of 71 for Suzi Best, he is now back down to 65 again after just three starts.
It makes him a big player at the weights on the pick of his form and he looks sure to strip much fitter for his recent return to action following a 12 month break when fading late on to finish fifth at this venue.
Bobby Benton also has a 67% strike rate in the grade, two wins fron three starts in it, and the booking of Charles Bishop catches the eye as he is 1-1 on him.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Bobby Benton (14/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
