Bogart is on a handy mark at present and makes plenty of appeal at 14/1 in the 1.55 at York today.

Kevin Ryan’s charge is on a long losing run having not scored since landing thos contest by 3/4 of a length fromn Goldream back in 2013 off a mark of 97.

However the six-year-old has posted a number of solid efforts, including when runner-up to Muthmir in the 20-runner Portland Handicap at Donaster last year off 93 and third of 26 to Huntsmans Close in the Ayr Silver Cup off the same rating.

He is now able to race in this off 93, 4lb lower than when last successful, and that gives him every chnace at the weights at a track which suits.

Bogart also comes into the contest having posted five solid efforts this season, including four at this venue where he has caught the eye on several occasions.

With Neil Callan in the saddle and what looks a good draw in stall 17 everything points to a big run.

Daily Sport recommended bet (posted on twitter at 2.25pm 18/8/15): 2pts each-way Bogart (14/1 Coral – BOG)
