The Jamie McDonnell undercard features an interesting heavyweight clash when giants Tom Dallas and Matt Skelton square off against each other tonight (8pm).
This might not be a classic but it will at least keep us interested for 24 minutes, and throws up a decent punting opportunity.
Dallas is looking to bounce back after being ko’d inside two rounds against the classy David Price, whereas Skelton is probably just glad to be back in the ring following his woes away from ringside which made it look most unlikely 12 months ago.
We last saw Skelton in prizefighter, where he showed that he still is game enough but was literally falling over against Kevin Mcbride in the semi final.
Even worrying however was that the unbelievably overrated Kunret Pule managed to stop Skelton with his Jab!
His opponent tonight is limited, but unlike Skelton he isn’t 45-years-old,inactive and actually has something on his record rather than just being considered a British title contender.
I think Dallas come into the ring in good enough condition and he bangs hard enough to stop Skelton inside the eight round distance.
