Brackloon ready to hit the High notes at Taunton

Brackloon High looks to have plenty going for him in the 1.40 at Taunton today and at 5/1 rates the best bet on the card.

The gelding has some useful hurdles form to his name in his younger days when trained by Noel Chance and dveloped into a decent chaser for that handler with his last win coming at Kempton 12 months ago where he beat On Trend in a class 2 contest off a mark of 128.

His form then tailed off, but he has looked to be on the way back in his last two runs and looks ready to cash-in on his lenient handicap mark of 120.

Now in the care of Brendan Powell he finished a decent second of 12 to Moorlands Mist on his penultimate start at Chepstow and then put in an even better performance at the same venue last time out in the mud when finishing third of 10 to Awaywiththegreys in a class 2 contest.

He reversed the form with the fourth home Moorlands Mist that day, and the seventh home Lamps has come out and won since.

That looks strong form in the context off this contest, especially as he now drops back down into class 3 company off the same mark.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Brackloon High (5/1 Betfred, BetVictor, Boylesports, Stan James – BOG)
