Bradley gets split decision victory over Pacquiao

In the very early hours of this morning at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley beat pound for pound legend Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao getting a split decision points victory over 12 rounds with all 3 judges scoring it 115-113 with 2 seeing Bradley the victor and him claiming the WBO World Welterweight title.

No we have all the robbery and controversy theories spreading like wild fire in my opinion it was a close fight with Bradley winning the first 2 rounds before Pacquiao getting on top only to switch off in the later rounds with Bradley winning at least the last 3 on the spin too.

Well now we’ll just have to wait and see if the have the re-match and if a clear winner can be found on that occasion. Pacquiao can for the moment though forget about his mega money payday with Floyd Mayweather.

On the undercard Guillermo Rigondeaux fought Teon Kennedy for the WBA Super-Bantamweight title and Rigondeaux was the victor dropping Kennedy 4 times before the ref called a halt in the 5th so a great TKO win for Rigondeaux. Next up saw veteran Welterweight Randall Bailey up against Mike Jones for the vacant IBF crown with Bailey a mile behind on points he dropped Jones at the end of the 10th and then rather than getting on his bike Jones stayed in close and Bailey KO’d him in the 11th, a superb turn around which just goes to prove in boxing a puncher always still has his punch. Jorge Arce took on Jesus Rojas in another Super-Bantamweight fight which was stopped in the 2nd and declared a no contest after Arce was hit borderline which he claimed was low and then on the ear but he just clearly didn’t want to continue.
