Brain Power the answer to Champion Hurdle

Brain Power makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle today (5.30) now returned to a right-handed venue.

Nicky Hendersons’s charge disappointed last time out when weakenining tamely to finish a well-beaten nine behind Buveur D’air in the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival but had also failed to shine on his sole previous start at the venue.

Before that he an ultra-progressive profile having been very impressive in landing ultra-competitive handicaps at Sandown and Ascot when travelling strongly and showing a good turn of foot on both occasions.

I am convinced that Brain Power is far better than he showed at Cheltenham and all four of his successes over hurdles have been going clockwise.

He also he also finsihed a fine third in a Grade 1 contest at this meeting 12 months ago and with underfoot conditions ideal it would be no suprise to see him bounce back in this now returned to a track which suits.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Brain Power (7/1 bet365 – BOG, 1/4 odds 1,2,3)
