Brockey Rise a bet at 13/2

Brockey Rise ran very well when runner-up last time out, so off an unchanged mark looks worth a bet at 13/2 to go one better and land the spoils in the 2.20 at Wolverhampton today.

That run came over course and distance where the David Evans trained four-year-old looked the likely winner when hitting the front inside the last only to be collared late on and beaten a head by Ishebayorgrey off 55.

It was a big step back in the right direction and Brockey Rise’s current mark is 1lb lower than when last victorious at this venue – where he is a three time winner – back in April.

He went on to be placed twice on the turf after that off 60 on each occasion and his previous wins here came off 58 and 59.

Brockey Rise is undoubtedly on a handy mark at present, so if building ion his latest run this looks a golod opportunity for him to get back on the scoresheet in the hands of Clifford Lee.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Brockey Rise (13/2 BetVictor, William Hill – BOG)
