Buonarroti worth a bet at 25/1

Buonarroti has slipped to a handy mark and look worth and each-way wager at 25/1 in the 1.55 at York today having caught the eye last time out.

The gelding had some useful form to his name as a juvenile when traiend by Aidan O’Brien, including whejn fifth to Kingston Hill in the Group 1 racing Post Trophy at Doncaster off an offcial rating of 105.

Now in the care of Declan Carroll, the four-year-old is able to race off a career-low mark of 87 having posted his best effrort for a long time last time out at Doncaster when fourth of 14 to Elkaayed in a competitive 1m 2f class 2 contest.

Buonarroti stayed on strongly form three out to be gaining at the finish and beaten just two lengths, and the step up to 1m 4f looks sure to suit.

It was an effort which suggested he retained plenty of ability, and if he build on it Buonarroti looks potentially well-treated off an unchanged mark.

He also has form with cut in the ground and won his maiden impressively by 8 1/4 lengths on yielding going, and off bottom-weight looks a lively outsider in the hands of Neil Farley.

Daily Sport recommended bet (Posted on twitter 4.15pm 20/08/15): 2pts each-way Buonarroti (25/1 generally available)
