London’s Caledonia Club saw Scotland’s Ricky Burns 32-3-0 meet hard hitting Aussie Michael Katsidis 28-4-0 for the first time ahead of their 5th November clash at Wembley Arena for the Interim WBO World Lightweight Title.
Wembley Arena is going to have the biggest firework display in the area on the night with two fighters hungry for victory. George Warren said”This a true fan fight and we’re glad to be bring fans what they want”
Both fights looked extremely relaxed and in fine shape. Burns said”I’m so much happier now I’ve moved up to Lightweight and am not having to boil down to make the Super-Feather limit, as I did in my last few fights” he added “This is going to be the toughest fight of my career but in superb shape and can’t wait for next Saturday.”
Katsidis said”I’m glad to be back in England where I’ve had 2 great fights already and where the fans acknowledge a great fighter” and he added”I look forward to meeting Ricky next Saturday night and just concentrating now on winning”
