Burnt Cream looks tasty at Bath

Burnt Cream is back down to her last winning mark and is strongly fancied at 4/1 to take advantage and get back to winning ways in the 5.50 at Bath this evening.

Martin Bosley’s mare is a course and distance winner who was last succesful at Lingfield back in January when scoring by a neck off a mark of 55.

The eight-year-old backed that up with a solid third at the saem venue off 58, but has subsequently failed to trouble the judge in five starts.

However, she is now back down to 55 as a result and shaped as if coming to hand last time out over course and distance when fifth of 8 to Captain Ryan.

Burnt Cream raced in touch before keeping on at the one pace from  two out to be beaten 2 3/4 lengths without ever quite threatening to trouble the leaders.

However she was not unduly knocked about, and it was an effort which suggested she was coming to the boil and ready to strike.

The rare booking of Martin Harley also catches the eye as he had one ride for the stable in 2014 which resulted in a winner, and since then finished placed on his only subsequent ride for the yard.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts Burnt Cream (4/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
