Sheffield Commonwealth middleweight champ retained his belt in style on Friday night at the city’s ICE arena stopping challenger Nicky Jenman at the end of the 2nd round.
Cameron caught Jenman with a CRACKING short right at the end of the round and a groggy Jenman got to his feel and got waved off by the ref.
After the fight Cameron’s promoter Dennis Hobson told DAILY SPORT Boxing “I don’t think Tommy Langford fancies the job; I’m pretty sure, Liam Cameron stopped Tommy Langford as an amateur and I’m making this statement, Liam Cameron stops Tommy Langford within eight rounds. I’m absolutely positive. Let’s make the fight for the British and Commonwealth titles on the line.”

Fellow Sheffield fighter Tommy Frank captured the super-flyweight central area title beating champion Craig Derbyshire on points over the 10 round distance 97-93. Frank now 7-0 will be looking to bigger challenges and more titles on the horizon.

Joe Ducker lost over 6 rounds 58-57 to Youssef Al Hamidi at welterweight in what was a very close fight. The Sheffiled crown and myself though Ducker had just about done enough to take it though.
