Can You Conga a max bet at 4/1

Can You Conga is back down below her last winning mark and gets the max bet treatment at 4/1 in the 3.00 at Haydock today now dropped in grade and fitted with the cheekpieces for the first time.

The filly had a progressive profile last year when trained by Kevin Ryan, shaping with bags of promise on her debut at Lingfield when beaten just a neck by Risk It Fora Biskit, who went on to score a further four times and is now rated 89.

She then didn’t run too badly when fourth at Newcastle after blowing her chances when slowly away at the start before opening her account at the third time of asking when beating Floating Along at Doncaster by 3/4 of a length.

The daughter of Piccolo went on to land a 13-runner class 2 handicap at Newmarket on her final start of 2013, where she showed plenty of early pace and ran on strongly to beat Secretinthepark by a neck off a mark of 84 in a race which has a strong look to it.

She was put up to 88 for that success and then joined Mick Easterby for the start of this campaign.

Can You Conga has take  time to come to hand in five runs for her new handler, but signalled that her time was near when a very eye-catching 8th of 18 to Compton Park in a class 3 contest at Thirsk last time out.

The four-year-old showed plenty of pace on the unfavoured far side from a low draw and kept on well to finish second in her group and beaten just over 5 lengths whilst having no chance with the stands side group

She now gets into this lower grade class 4 contest of the same mark of 83, and is 1lb lower than when last successful in class 2 company.

It gives Can You Conga outstanding claims at the weights, especially if the fitting of the cheekpieces for the first time have the desired effect.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 10pts win Can You Conga (4/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
