Tonight’s Carling Cup tie between Cardiff and Burnley (7.45pm KO) is a tough one to call, but if the form books anything to go by then plenty of goals look assured.
The last three games for the home side have produced a total of 19 goals, and the Bluebirds have scored 10 of them.
The Welsh side have also been beaten only once this season, which probably explains why they are a top priced even money to win tonight.
However Burnley will be no pushover and have lost just two of their last seven games in all competitions.
Three of their last four ties in this competition have been decided in extra time, and five of the last six matches between these two sides have ended in a draw.
That suggest that a draw could be on the cards during the 90 minutes, with Cardiff probably going on to secure victory in extra time.
But rather than play in what looks a far from clear outright market a better bet could be backing more than 2.5 goals in 90 minutes at 4/5 with Boylesports, Blue Square and Sky Bet.
We then don’t have to worry about which side comes out on top in a game which has goals written all over it.
