Talented London heavyweight AJ Carter tonight steps into the ring at York Hall to take on Ugandan champion Kenneth Odeke both guys have 4 KO’s a piece so it should be an interesting match up.
Promoter Josh Goodwin told DAILY SPORT Boxing “It is full credit to AJ for taking this fight. His original opponent pulled out on Wednesday and Odeke was the only option. It is a far tougher fight than ideal at this point of AJ’s career but he would rather take the fight than wait for an easier option in three weeks time.
Odeke won the Ugandan Heavyweight title with a fifth round stoppage in February and sees Carter as his passport to fights with Anthony Joshua and Hughie Fury.
