Cash-in on 12/1 Converti

Converti shaped nicely last time out and looks overpriced at 12/1 in the 5.00 at Worcester to score a long overdue success.

Simon Burrough’s gelding has not won since landing a maiden hurdle here back in 2009, but that win came off 112 and he is now running off just 90.

He was placed off marks of 110 and 108 in 2010 and then had an unsuccessful spell chasing before a lengthy-lay off.

The eight-year-old ran poorly on his firts two starts back over the larger obstacles, but then showed much more last time upo when switched back to hurdles.

That run came at Newton Abbot, where he stayed on well to finish just under a 6 length fourth of 11 to space telescope over and inadequate trip of 2m 1f.

He was not knocked about that day, and the run suggested that he was capable of taking advantage of his lenient mark when uppped in trip.

Today’s 2m 7f will be right up his street, and it’s connections seem to have found him a nice opening at a venue where he has perfromed well in the past.

He has run four times at the track, winning once and coming second, third, and fifth on the other occasions.

That suggest that a big run is on the cards, anmd off his featherweight of 10st 2lb he looks cracking each-way value.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Converti (12/1 bet365 – BOG)
