Championship boxing is coming to Bristol

Lockleaze bantamweight Lee Haskins will get a crack at the vacant British title on April 27 when he steps in to the ring at The City Academy to do battle against Newcastle’s Martin Ward. The fight will be the first title fight to be stage in Bristol for 15 years and promoter Chris Sanigar is hoping his man can pull it off after he won the bidding war to put the bout on.

The last time a British championship was held in the city was back in 1998 when Glenn Catley knocked out Neville Brown to claim the title and only once previous to that when Ross Hale defied the odds to snatch the title from the champion Andy Holligan.

Tickets are available at £100 & £80 VIP tables with complimentary Champagne/Wine, Buffett and Waitress Service, £60 Ringside and £35 for unreserved seating.
