Belfast’s legendary Panamanian trainer says he’s got what it takes to give Martin Rogan the edge to sink Tyson Fury like the Titanic when the pair meet at the city’s Odyssey Arena on April 14th.
Checa the former head trainer to the Eastwood camp has handled some of the hottest fighters out there including former World featherweight champion Paul Hodkinson, former World welterweight champion Crisanto Espana and World flyweight champion Dave McAuley, a commentator for Channel 5 the broadcaster for Fury-Rogan. He has also worked with the legendary Roberto Duran and currently trainer WBA interim Super-Middleweight champ Brian Magee.
Checa said”I have watched Fury quite a few times and he has been hurt in many fights, he has been put down and there is a pattern, there is a reason and I plan to exploit those weaknesses”
Daily Sport says – Rogan will be looking for a big win here to get his career back on track, while an upset could halt Fury’s world title hopes.
