Man City go into tonight’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich (7.45pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 2) knowing that only a win is good enough to get them into the last 16, but at a top priced 1.73 they make little appeal as a betting proposition.
The whole key to the match is likely to depend on what staring X11 Bayern decide to field as they have already won the group and are safely in the next round whatever happens.
However I can’t see the German outfit fielding a really weakened side as they would surely love to put any English side out of the competition.
Ok, they have already ruled Arjen Robben and Toni Kroos out, but they have a strong squad and are a very well organised side capable of grinding out as result.
As much as I would love to see City win, I can’t be backing them at odds-on and the bet that makes most appeal is Bayern in the draw/no bet market.
Ladbrokes go a standout 100/30 and that looks huge given that Bayern are a top priced 9/2 in the outright market.
