City too big at 15/4 in Chelsea clash

The big FA Cup game of the day sees Chelsea play host to Manchester City (4pm KO, Live on BBC 1), and the visitors look overpriced at 15/4 with BetVictor and have to be the punt.

Chelsea have won 24 and lost just of one of their last 29 FA Cup matches played at Stamford Bridge, have an outstanding record in the competition, and go into the game knowing that the Fa Cup is their best chance of getting any silverware from what has been a disappointing season.

However, I don’t think that they are entitled to be odds-on for this against a side of the calibre of City.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men don’t look as lethal as they once were, but remain capable of turning on the style and beating ayone on the day.

They have also  won six and lost just two of their last 11 matches against Chelsea in all competitions, and have won five and lost just one of the last nine FA Cup matches away from home.

The big question is what strength side Pellegrini will put out given that thay have a packed fixture list and a trip to Ukraine next week quickly followed by a Capital One Cup final clash with Liverpool.

Bookmakers obviously feel that he  will be tempted to put plenty of yougsters in the line-up, but City also have plenty of established starts who will also be in the starting XI if that proves to be the case and odds of just under 4/1 are simply too big about a classy outfit.
