Class-dropping Amanto appeals at 15/2

Amanto makes plenty of appeal at 15/2 in the 3.40 at Brighton today now dropped into 0-65 company for just the second time in his career.

This Ali Stronge trained nine-year-old was last successful in this grade, class 6, 13 months ago when landing and eight-runner contest at Epsom by 1 1/4 lengths off a mark of 65.

He backed that up with a solid third in a class 5 at the same venue off 70 and also ran well last time out at that track following a break and wind surgery when fourth of 10 to Peace Prevails off 67 in a class 5.

Amanto is now able to race in this lower grade class 6 affair off 65 again, the same as when last successful.

It gives him leading claims at the weights and another plus is that he is reunited with To Marquand who rides the track extremely well and has a 28.6 per cent strike rate on him having won twice and been placed on two occasions from seven starts.

Amanto also has a healthy 25 per cent strike rate over the 1m 4f trip, so looks to have plenty going for him in this.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Amanto (15/2 bet365, BetVictor – BOG)
