Class dropping Hernando hot stuff at 14/1

Hernando Torres is back down to his last winning makr and makes plenty of appeal at 14/1 in the 5.45 at Wolverhampton today now eased in grade.

Mick Easterby’s nine-year-old was last successful in a class 6 at Chelmsford back in February when scoring by five lengths off a mark of 63.

He got put up to 70 for that runaway success and has failed to trouble the judge in six subsewquent starts in class 4/5 company.

However he is now able to race off 63 again and now drops back down into class 6 company in which he has a 31% strike rate.

That gives him major claims at the weights and he also has a good record over course and distance having won twice and been placed twice from seven starts – with the last off those wins coming off 69.

With Nathan Evans in the saddle taking off another 3lb with his claim he looks weighted to run a huge race.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Hernando Torres (14/1 Paddy Power, Stan James – BOG)
