Class-dropping Pandora weighted to strike at Wolves

Prying Pandora looks worth a wager in the 8.40 at Wolverhampton today now switched back to the Tapeta surface off a career-low handicap mark.

Richard Fahey’s mare was last successful in a class 3 contest at Newcastle 12 months ago when scoring by 2 1/2 lengths off a rating of 76.

She went on to finish runner-up in a similar grade affair here off 81 and also ran well when beaten just a neck by Tiki Makfi in a class 3 at Newmarket off 78.

The five-year-old is now able to race off just 71 and that gives her major claims at the weights on the pick of her form.

Prying Pandora also comes into the race having shaped nicely when a staying on third to Red Tea in a class 3 at Nottingham off 3lb higher.

She also wasn’t disgraced last time out when sixth at Beverley, getting outpaced on the quickm grpund before staying on late to be nearest at the finish.

The return to the artificial surface is a plus, as is the fcat that she now drops into class 5 company in which she has won once and been placed three times from four starts.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Prying Pandora (7/1 generally available – ues BOG firms)
