Clenymistra ticks plenty of boxes at Thirsk

Clenymistra is back down to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 2.45 at Thirsk today now eased in grade.

David O’Meara’s filly was last successful over course and distance in August of last year when keeping on strongly to land a 13-runner class 6 handicap off a rating of 62.

She backed that up with a solid effort in a similar grade affair at Redcar when a 1/2 a length runner-up off 65, after which she got put up to 68.

Clenymistra hahs since failed to trouble the judge in three subsequent outings, but they have all been in class 5 company and she shaped as if needing the run on return to action at Doncaster last month.

She now drops back down into class 6 company, in which she has a won twice and been placed five times in eight starts, off a rating of 63.

That is just 1lb higher than when last victorious here and gives him every chnace from a handicapping perspective now back in the right grade.

Dany Tudhope also has a good record on her, having won once and been placed twice in three starts, and is now back in the plate.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Clenymistra (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
