Course specialist Eeny Mac looks overpriced at 10/1 in the 4.10 at Beverley today and rates cracking each-way value.
Neville Bycroft’s charge improved to rattle off a hat-trick at the track in June/July, with two of those successes coming over todday’s distance of 7f.
The last victory saw him make all to beat Violent Velocity by 1 1/4 lengths off a mark of 60, and he then showed further improvement when a solid third of 13 to Fathsta off an official rating of 64 in a decent claimer at this track two starts back.
Although he wasn’t seen to best effect last time up at Redcar he didn’t have the services of Julie Burke who gets on extremely well with him in the saddle that day and the handicapper has since dropped him a pound to 63.
That gives him every chance at the weights as he is only 3lb higher than when last successful, and with Burke back in the saddle in would be no surprise to see him bounce back now returned to his favourite stomping ground.
His handler also sent out Shotley Mac to win this contest 12 months ago, and the selection is sure to have had this as his target for some time.
Another plus is that he handles all types of going and has won with cut in the ground, so unlike many of his rivals he will not be inconvenienced if the rains continue to fall.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Eeny Mac (10/1 Boylesports – BOG)
