Court In Matera makes plenty of appeal at Worcester

Having posted a much improved effort when runner-up last time out, Court In Matera makes plenty of appeal at 9/1 in the 4.25 at Worcester today.

This five-year-old offered very little in his first five starts for Oliver Greenall after being well-beaten in his sole start in a bumper for Andrew Glassonbury.

However, he left those efforts well behind when last seen in action at Cartmel back in April and finishing a fine 3 3/4 length second of 12 to Lady Samback off a mark of 90 under a 3lb claimer.

Court In Matera travelled well and through down a challenge two out before making a mistake at the last and weakening in the closing stages.

A 2lb rise for that looks more than fair, especially as he was initially allotted an opening mark of 100.

If building on that fine run he looks a big player in this for a yard that has been among the winners of late.

Henry Brooke also now takes over in the saddle, so everything looks in place for a bold bid to go one better.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Court In Matera (9/1 generally available – use BOG firms paying 4 places)
