Cupid’s Arrow has a decent record at Catterick so having dropped to a career-low turf mark looks worth a bet at 7/1 in the 3.35 there today.
Ruth Carr’s charge has won once and been placed twice in five runs over course and distance.
The last of those successes came in a class 6 – the grade of this – in July of last year where he scored readily by 1 3/4 lengths off a mark of 60.
Cupid’s Arrow backed that up with a dcenet third over 7f here off 64 and also ran well two starts later over course and distance when third of 12 off 62.
He is now able rto race in this off just 47, a massive 13lb lower than when last victorious, and that gives him major claims from a handicapping perspective on the pikc of his form.
Cupid’s Arrow should also now be spot on to do himself justice following two starts after a break for wind surgery, sha;ping a bit better than the bare result suggest on both occasions.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Cupid’s Arrow (7/1 bet365 – BOG)
