Cyrius Moriviere makes plenty of appeal at Ludlow

Cyrius Moriviere looks to have plenty going for him in the 5.15 at Ludlow today.

Ben Pauling’s charge was a useful novice hurdler in 2015/16 when winning twice to be rated 136 at his peak.

He was far from disgraced when ninth of 16 to North Hill Harvey in the Grade 3 Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham off 135, but then had his attentions switched to chasing.

Cyrius Moriviere failed to take to the larger obstacles and connections wisely switched him back to hurdles for his latest start at Doncaster where he posted an improved effort to finish a 4 3/4 length third to Irish Roe off a mark of 127.

The winner has since beat subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner Mohaayed and finished a fine 3/4 length runner-up to Marias Benefit in a Grade 2 at Doncaster.

That gives the form a solid look in the context of this contest and Cyrius Moriviere is able to race in it off an unchanged mark.

It makes him well-treated on the oick of his form if building on his latest effort.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Cyrius Moriviere (5/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
