Dark Cystal runs Ayr well and looks worth an each-way punt at 33/1 in the 5.25 there today now eased in grade.
Linda Perratt’s seven-year-old is a six time course winner and two of those successes have come over the 1m trip of this.
He landed a class 6 contest at Hamilton in June of last year off 61 and went on to follow-up in a class 5 here off 66.
Dark Cyrstal also ran well to make the frame on three occasions of 72 – twice in class 4 company and once in a class 5.
He has been well beaten in all three starts this season following a lengthy break but is now able to race off a reduced rating of 65.
That gives him claims on the pick of his form, especially as he now drops back down into class 6 company for the first time his his aformentioned success at Hamilton.
He has a 31 per cent strike rate in the grade (five wins and a place from 16 starts) and underfoot conditions will also hold no fears.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Dark Crystal (33/1 bet365, BetVictor, Betfair, Paddy Power, William Hill – BOG)
