Dark Crystal and Nolan a potent combination

Dark Crystal has slipped below her klast winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 17/2 in the 4.00 at Hamilton today now reunited with David Nolan.

Linda Perratt’s six-year-old mare was last successful at Ayr 11 months ago she stayed on gamely to score by 1 1/4 lengths off a mark of 66.

Dark Crytsal is now able to race off 3lb lower comes into the race on the back of two promising efforts over 1m and 1m 1f at Musslebrugh and Ayr.

Those runs should have tuned her up and it’s inetresting that she was pulled out of a race at Ayr last night when I put her up.

Today’s ground should be more in her favour and the booking of Nolan to to the steering, rather than Adam McNamara who was due to partner her yesterday, certainly catches the eye.

He has a 50% strike rate on her (three from six) and has partnered her to her last three successes.

It suggests connectiosns mean business and dark Crutsal usually comes good at around thsi time of the year.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Dark Crystal (17/2 bet365 – BOG)
