Darrell Rivers hot stuff at Hamilton

Darrell Rivers makes plenty of appeal at 5/1 to open her account in the 2.50 at hamilton today now stepped up in trip.

Giles Bravery’s filly has shaped with promise on plenty of ocacsions and comes into the context on the back of two cracking runs which suggest her time is near.

After finishing a solid second at Thirsk over 7f when keeping on well from off the pace to be beaten just 3/4 of a length, the three-year-old looked an unlucky loser last time out over 7f at Newmarket when third of 10 to Akeed Champion.

Darrell Rivers got denied a clear run at a vital stage a furlong from home and after being switched left to find daylight finsihde with a rattle to be beaten just 1/2 a length.

I think that she would have landed the spoils granted a clear passage, and although now 2lb higher she is in effect a winner without a penalty.

The step up in trip to 1m also looks sure to suit judgede on her last two runs, and with Patrick Mathers in the saddle she rates the best bet on the card.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Darrell Rivers (5/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
