Last night saw WBA world super-bantam weight champ Naoya Inoue take just 70 seconds to destroy Jaun Carlos Payano in his World Boxing Super Series quater final in Yokohama.

Inoue who captured the strap last time out with another devestating stoppage of British former champ Jamie McDonnell again in the 1st round 112 seconds to be precise.
Inoue has to be the best pound for pound batamweight on the planet right now having moved up from super-fly where he was the WBO champ and having stopped both oppos so far at bantam in a combined 302 seconds.
The 25yo is now 17-0, 15 KO’s and must have become the one to avoid for all bantamweights and someone who must now be odds on to take the Ali trophy.

“I am normally not a person who brags, but I said that I went for the KO to put myself under maximum pressure” said Inoue.
Earlier in the evening, Belarus’ Kiryl Relikh beat Russia’s Eduard Troyanovsky on points 115-113 on all 3 cards of their super-lightweight quarter final and retained his WBA strap in the process.
