Doeslessthanme is on a dangerous mark at present and makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the 2.55 at Doncaster today.
The gelding was a useful performer when trained by Pual Nicholls, landing a hat-trick of contests back in 2012.
The last of those successes came in a Grade 2 affair at Ayr off a mark of 144, where he only had to be ridden out to beat Bocciani with far more in hand than the winning margin of 6 lengths suggests.
He then ran a solid race to finish runner-up to Wishful Thinking in the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham off 151, and now gets into this off just 139 having run well on just his second start for Richard Ford when runner-up to No Planning at Wetherby last time out over 2m 5f.
If he can build on that effort he looks weighted to take all the beating, and the drop back to 2m 1f looks sure to suit.
The 10-year-old has scored four times over it, and is also 1-1 over course and distance.
He also has the assistance of Harry Challoner in the saddle taking another 5lb off his back, and everything looks in place for a huge run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Doeslessthanme (7/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
