Ben a great bet at 3s
Oliver Sherwood’s Ben Cee Pee M has plenty in his favour in the 2.00 at Doncaster today and rates a solid bet at 3/1.
The gelding landed back-to-back victories in handicaps back in April, with his last win coming on today’s good-to-firm going at Ludlow off a mark of 104.
He sported blinkers in both those wins, and ran a solid race to be third on his comeback after a break at Ffos Las when the headgear was left off.
The six-year-old then ran below par last time out at Carlisle, but that run may well have come too soon after his run at the Welsh track and he is definitely worth another chance in this line-up now that connections are putting the blinkers back on.
That looks a significant move, and he must take all the beating if they do the trick given that he is only 3lb higher than his last win and has winning form on quick ground.

Go get the 8s about Anshan
The progressive Gentlemen Anshan could still be ahead of the handicapper and looks cracking value at 8/1 in the 2.35 at Doncaster
Rosemary Gasson’s seven-year-old scored in terrific style at Southwell back in May off a mark of 109, leading on the bit three out before powering clear to beat Persian Gates by 10 lengths.
The form looks rock solid as runner-up has gone on to score twice and was still in contention in a listed contest last time out off a mark of 126 when coming to grief two from home.
That makes the selection look potentially well-in here off a mark of 118, and he is sure to strip fitter for his recent comeback run at Ludlow where he was never in the hunt over a trip which was too far for him.
His young rider also gets on very well with him, and the 7lb that she takes off his back is certainly a plus.
With the trip and going ideal today he must take all the beating, and the 8/1 on offer looks huge.
