Having posted an improved effort last time out, Dr Time looks weighted to run a huge race and makes plenty of appeal at 9/1 in the 12.00 at Newcastle today.
That run came at FFos Las where the Tom Symonds trained seven-year-old stuck to the task well to finish a 4 3/4 length third of nine to Special Princess of a mark of 96.
He is able to race in this off the same rating having started life off in handicaps of 14lb higher (110) just four starts ago.
It makes him a big player at the weights if building on that, especially judged on his debut run over hurdles last December at Huntingdon when staying on from off the pace to finish a never nearer and highly promising 8 3/4 length third of nine to Two For Gold.
The winner is a useful sort who has won twice since and is now rated 132 over hurdles and 138 over fences.
Thelongwayround, who came second, has also gone on to taste success and finished runner-up last time out off 115.
That gives the form a solid look in relation to this class 5 affair and both that run, and his one last time out, came on soft ground.
So with underfoot conditions in his favour, and tha yard having saddled two winners in the last couple of days, Dr Time looks to have ore going for him than his odds would suggest and rates the best value bet of the day.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Dr Time (9/1 BetVictor, Sky Bet – BOG)
