Everton play host to Chelsea at Goodison Park in today’s televised evening kick-off (5.30pm KO, Sky Sports 1) and the draw looks worth a wager at the general 12/5 on offer.
The home side have made a solid, if unspectacular start to the season, drawing all three of their games.
It is a run which now means that their manager Roberto Martinez has won just one of his last 11 games in the league (W1 D6 L4), but they are a tough side to beat at home and I think Chelsea could find it hard to break them down.
Indeed, it took a wonder strike from Torres to secure Chelsea a 2-1 victory when they last met at Stamford Bridge last season, and prior to that the Toffees had collected all the points on their previous three encounters at Goodison.
I can see this turning into a hard fought affair with very few chances, and under 2.5 goals also makes plenty of appeal from a puting perspective at 4/5 with BetVictor and Stan James.
