Stoke play host to Manchester City today (12.45pm KO, Live on BT Sport 1) and in a tough game to call the draw looks worth a small wager at 31/10 with Betfred.
The home side have made a good start to the season and come into the game having lost just once in their last six in all competitions.
They are also into the last four of the League Cup for the first time in almost half a century, and have won five of their last eight league games – beating both Southampton and Chelsea in the process.
The Potters are always hard to beat at the Britannia, and face a City side who although top of the league having looked far from convincing.
They have been thrashed by both Spurs and Liverpool, and I can see Stoke really serving it up to them this aftenoon.
I certainly wouldn’t be backing City at odds-on, and as tempting as it was to plump for a Stoke victory at 22/5 with BetVictor the draw looks the more likely outcome and gets the narrow vote.
